How to Search, View, and Edit Professional Accreditation Forms

All existing and in progress Professional Accreditation forms can be viewed from the CourseLeaf CIM Miscellaneous Request Management dashboard. This dashboard is used to manage both Professional Accreditation and Professional Licensure/Certification forms for Penn State programs.

Search Professional Accreditation Forms

To search for a Professional Accreditation form, log in to the Miscellaneous Request Management dashboard.

The dashboard includes a search field as well as a form inventory table that lists all Professional Accreditation and Professional Licensure/Certification forms that have been entered into the CIM system.

The form inventory table includes six columns of information about each form listed. The table can be sorted by clicking on any column header.

The column headers refer to the following:

  • Request Code: The unique numerical ID assigned to every Professional Accreditation and Professional Licensure/Certification form entered into CIM.
  • Request Type: A description of the form type (i.e., Professional Accreditation form or Licensure/Certification form).
  • Title: The name entered on the form in the "Title" field to be used for searching and finding on the Miscellaneous Request Management dashboard when edits or updates are needed. The form Title is used solely to search for and identify specific forms within the CIM system.
  • Workflow: The current workflow approval step for a form. If the workflow column is blank, it means the form is not currently in workflow.
  • Status: The current state of a form. Forms can have one of the following three statuses:
    • Added: This status indicates that a brand new form has been initiated. The form can either be saved but not yet submitted to workflow or completed and currently in workflow.
    • Edited: This status indicates that a form that previously existed in CIM has been edited. The form edits can either be saved but not yet submitted to workflow or completed and currently in workflow.
    • Blank: This indicates that the form (either added or edited) has been submitted and completed workflow. It is at rest.

In the Search field, enter the appropriate search terms (using the guidance below) and click the green Search Button. The search results will appear below in the table.

There are several different ways to search for a Professional Accreditation form using the Search field. Keep in mind that the Search field does not function the same as a free-form Google search box. Instead, it is only searching on information presented in the following four columns in the form inventory table: Request Code, Title, Workflow, Status. An asterisk operates as a wildcard and can be used at any place within your search terms to stand in for missing information.

Edit a Professional Accreditation Form

When you need to update the Professional Accreditation information on an existing form, you can edit the existing Professional Accreditation form instead of submitting a brand new form. To edit an existing Professional Accreditation form, log in to the Miscellaneous Request Management dashboard.

The Professional Accreditation form will open in a new browser window. If you have not previously edited the form, it will be populated with information from the last approval. If you already began editing the form, it will be populated with the information that was saved during the last edit.

A detailed description of all Professional Accreditation form fields can be found on the How to Submit a New Professional Accreditation Form User Guide.

View Professional Accreditation Form History

CIM History provides a permanent record of the approved Professional Accreditation form from the last time it went through workflow. History displays the submitted accrediting agency/program information, approval path, workflow steps, comments, and red/green mark up. Only forms that have been completely approved will show up in history. History is view-only; it cannot be edited.

To view the history for a Professional Accreditation form, log in to the Miscellaneous Request Management dashboard.

Once you select the appropriate Professional Accreditation form from the table and the preview panel appears below, the available history for the form will appear along the right sidebar of the preview panel in the History Box. Each available history item is available by its date of approval in CIM.
